This week, as part of HBHA’s social justice work, juniors and seniors traveled to Topeka, KS, to attend a meeting, organized by Alliance for a Healthy Kansans. They focused on expanding Medicaid access in Kansas. Students received a presentation outlining the goals for their visit. Afterward, they went to the State Capitol where each student was given a sheet of paper to present to state representatives and senators at their offices. Ethan Hobbs brought his tefillin and wrapped with Dan Osman (KS-Rep. Dst. 48), while the group discussed Medicaid expansion and ways to encourage state congressional support.
