Three first-graders, (left to right) Caleb, Max, and Liam learn about growing trees. When I went to visit and take some pictures for this article, I saw this class reading to their trees which according to Max Lerner, promotes growth and is good for the trees. Photo by Teddy Zitron.

Learning Through Art in Lower School

As I graduated from lower school into middle school and eventually into high school, I found myself not knowing the names of teachers and students, the projects going on, and just all around what was going on right below my feet on the first floor of the place I spent most of my childhood. I decided to return to where my HBHA career all started and see what’s up. What artwork, poetry, and projects are the lower school students working on? If you take the time to look, you can find some pretty amazing projects.
