The upper school STUCO, guided by Dr. Huston, consists of students elected by the student body and students assigned by faculty members. Senior Simon Balanoff, the president of STUCO, says the “Upper school student council is responsible for most events led by the student body.” A large portion of the student councils’ focus is on fundraising. Recently, Junior Alex Rubin, the treasurer of STUCO has assumed responsibility for the vending machine in the upper school hallway. STUCO also donates to both the Civil Rights trip and the Jewish Heritage trip. Upper school STUCO meets every Wednesday.
