Sports are back! HBHA had an exciting kick-off of the 2024-2025 sports seasons this week. The varsity girls volleyball team is off to a great start already playing two games this week. The season’s first game was on Tuesday night at Frontier School of Excellence (SOE), and they had a great game ending with a first-season win, beating SOE 3-0. The second game was Thursday night at Midland Adventist Academy. Unfortunately after a competitive first set, the game slipped away and the varsity girls lost 0-3.
Varsity boys soccer also had their first season game on Thursday against Daniel Academy. Under new Rams head coach Gabe Perez, the team is excited to be back on the field. Unfortunately, Daniel Academy won 3-2 in the end. However, it was a tough fight throughout the entire game. Sophmore and captain, Ben Rosenthal, scored both goals for the team.
Both HBHA teams have been putting in lots of work and are excited to be back on the court and in the field. Next up on September 10th, the varsity girls volleyball team will play at KSD at 4:30, and the varsity boys soccer team will play on the 12th vs Frontier STEM at 4:15 on the JCCC fields. The season still has many more games to come!
