Basketball season is slowly nearing its end for the 2024-2025 season, but not without a bang! With travel games, senior night, and more coming up, make sure you are staying tuned. This week, the varsity girls’ basketball team and the varsity boys’ basketball team played Guadalupe Center high school on Monday. Both were fantastic games with two Ram wins that night. Tuesday the varsity girls’ played St. Pius X, winning back-to-back days. MS basketball also had a great week with both the MS 7/8 and 5/6 teams on the court. The 5/6 team played Oak Hill day school and won after a great game 41-23, but 7/8 unfortunately had a loss after making a 12 point comeback, and losing by 3, 42-45 to St. Vincent De Paul. The MS teams have been giving a lot of effort and, “played their hearts out on the court Saturday night!” said Dr. Kyanka. They showed great sportsmanship on Saturday towards the other team, “Each time they got tangled up with the other team, they were the first to extend a hand and help them up, high five[ing] them in a misunderstanding, check on their well-being” Kyanka continued.
