This past week the Rams varsity basketball team took the amazing opportunity to travel to Toronto, Canada and participate in the International Israel Becker Tournament hosted by TanenbaumCHAT. It was an action packed three days filled with terrific basketball competition, meeting new people from around the world, and Canada fun. It was a great experience for the HBHA basketball program as a whole. The girls’ team played a total of six games, playing Charles E. Smith, a Jewish day school from the Baltimore, Maryland area in the semi-finals. Facing up against tough competition the boys’ team ended up 0-7, however with each game memories and lessons were learned. We give a big thanks to all the coaches, chaperones, and our amazing athletic director Mr. Matsil for making this great experience possible, and to TanenbaumCHAT for inviting us to come and participate. The basketball season is not over yet though, with games coming up, and eventually the GPAC tournament, so stay tuned for game announcements and go rams!
