On Thursday, Mar. 27, the seventh grade class journeyed to Topeka, Kan. on their annual trip. Middle and upper school social studies and English teacher, R. Gina Renee lead the students on their excursion along with grandparent volunteer, Susie Klinock. The students visited the Kansas State Capitol and the Brown v. Board of Education Museum. Atop the State Capitol building is a giant dome in which the students climbed up a very narrow staircase leading them to the outdoors. The students loved being outside on top of the building, seeing the Capitol and holding on for dear life in the wind. The trip successful and will hopefully happen again next year.
