Ram Slam originated as a Slam poetry group led by upper school English teachers Micah Margolies and R. Gina Renee, but is now advised solely by Margolies.. Recently the club has “evolved to be not just about slam poetry but an opportunity for any students who want to share any poetry they have written or any other type of fiction they have written,” said Margolies. As for all clubs there is an important reason for Ram Slam’s existence. Margolies says, “It’s really important for students to have an opportunity to be able to express themselves in a free way.”  Currently, Ram Slam meets every other Friday in room 204.
